Key Performance Areas:
• Prepare work schedules for the purpose of documenting and communicating activities as required. • Direct and supervise Mechanical maintenance fitters on assigned duties
• Supervise and manage the execution of routine and preventive maintenance programs
• Determine material, equipment/supplies and reserving of the same for issue from stores.
• Compile and submit technical work and breakdown reports as well as maintenance of departmental documents records. • Participate in the diagnosis and repair of major faults and breakdowns. • Ensure observance of safety rules, regulations and practices.
• Assign and Control departmental overtime.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements :
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Auto CAD
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret machine, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic drawings.
• Good knowledge of Hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of ERP SAP PM Module
• Planned Maintenance(Time based maintenance, Condition based maintenance, Corrective Maintenance) • Autonomous Maintenance & Good knowledge of Continuous improvement projects.
• Total productive maintenance knowledge • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment • Proficiency in MS Office. • Fluency in oral and written English and Kiswahili languages.
