Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic CT coronary angiogram, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
- Coordinate all inpatient and outpatient cardiac imaging.
- Provide clinically appropriate assessment, interpretation, and reporting on imaging adhering to standard guidelines.
- Provide timely reporting of radiographs, mammograms, CT and MRI to facilitate efficient patient flows.
- Performing fluoroscopy and specialized ultrasound examinations.
- Reporting of emergency imaging examinations.
- Provide consultation services during working hours and call hours.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Participate in capacity building through CMEs.
- Attend and actively participate in clinical departmental meetings.
- Work with other team members to mutually agreed work schedules and waiting list management processes, in consultation with the Head of Department.
- Conduct in scientific research and publications.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Master of Medicine in Radiology and Imaging from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Fellowship in Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC.
- Valid Practice License from KMPDC.
- Certified Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging.
- Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- At least one (1) year working experience as a Cardiac Radiologist in a busy hospital.
