Salary scale: 50K-60K
Join a financial institution that has a robust tech team for building and supporting the core banking system. This position will be responsible for assisting clients to integrate their systems into the core banking APIs. Responsible for participating in requirements analysis and decomposition, internal testing, and the documentation of the core banking system. Primary responsibilities will also include troubleshooting existing integrations and providing technical support to the core banking development team. The position will entail meeting the minds of product engineering, product managers, business operations, and external stakeholders to build solutions for the financial tech industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be a member of the engineering team tasked with, testing, refining core system features, deployment, and support of financial banking systems.
- Understanding systems requirement documents, creating test cases, executing test cases, reporting and re-testing bugs, and attending system review meetings.
- Convert user’s problems/errors/suggestions into understandable language/logic for developers.
- Assist developers/system architects (partner’s side) in the core API integration and onboarding.
- Resolve and manage requests from API partners regarding programming interfaces, including inbound and outbound API calls and methods, using the required tools and technologies during the partner development and maintenance phase.
- Demonstrate an understanding of database systems, programming conventions, and system testing cycles.
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team to develop core system features.
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience in integrations and maintaining APIs
- Demonstrate skills in XML, XSD, SOAP, Restful API design architecture and Webservices
- Working knowledge of SOAP UI tool, POSTman Tool for analyzing and resolving support issues
- Proficiency with at least one high-level general-purpose programming language.
- A financial background is an added advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions and implement policies and procedures from his/her supervisor.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
